Chronos is the ancient Greek word for chronological time...the steady, methodically ticking of minutes, hours and days to which we align the cadence of our lives. This mixed media composition features many fluid layers of natural pigments, pastels, coffee filters, inks and preserved leaves from places as diverse as South Carolina and northern Japan. Like time itself, the multiple layers record moments in nature's story, told through texture, form and soft earthy colors. This piece makes a beautiful companion to Kairos. The art measures 16" x 16" x 1.25" on cradled birch panel and  ships framed in a mid tone float frame and wired, ready to hang.
