Fly Away

This 8"x10" acrylic and ink painting is on raw canvas, which creates a lovely watercolor-like effect while allowing the natural texture and color of the canvas to peek through. The process I use is inspired by 20th century abstract expressionist Helen Frankenthaler, who developed the "soak stain" technique and helped usher in the Color Field school of abstract art.
 
This dainty and organic artwork is framed in a natural wood float frame with a black inset to highlight the art. It is signed and dated on the back, comes with a Certificate of Authenticy, and is wired and ready to hang.
 
Fly Away would be lovely in an intimate space like over a desk or in a reading nook, bringing a sense of freedom, simplicity and organic lines bathed in a cheerful wash of color!
