Moments of Clarity
I often find moments of clarity when I'm walking in nature. When I step away from the noise for a few minutes, things shift: I feel refreshed, peaceful and present. It was during one such moment that I gathered the ferns and leaves for this artwork on habotai silk. This cyanotype has luminous blues, whispers of soft yellow and creamy whites -all balanced in a composition that feels relaxed and organic. The silk is stretched over a cradled wood panel with a second cyanotype on watercolor paper nested beneath, adding depth and dimension to this layered piece. The artwork is framed in a natural wood float frame for beautiful simplicity; it works beautifully in both contemporary and traditional spaces. A lovely reminder that quiet and clarity await us, when we pause to let them in.
